Scampi e Gamberi con Fave

The beans are legumes among all the less calories but still with a high nutritional value, are particularly suited to combat anemia.

The fresh broad bean is an amino acid called L-dopa which appears to have the property to raise the concentration of dopamine in the brain, and this substance is present in some drugs used for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. Some patients claim that the beneficial effects of beans on Parkinson last longer than those of drugs.

The abundant presence of dietary fiber promotes bowel activity contributing to the elimination of toxins and waste, vitamin C instead, as well as to protect the body from diseases also allows the absorption of iron contained in the beans themselves.
It does not appear but the function of our body is with broad beans in particular need,
this and its harvesting period, you can do several delicious recipes, I decided to make the Broad Beans with f shellfish (always remind me  when I was young)
Prawns and Shrimp with

Broad Beans

Ingredients for 4 person

Prawns 15/ 30( size) 300 Gr

Shrimps 300 gr

BROAD BEANS 1 kilo (fresh)

Salt & Pepper to taste

White wine(2/5 glasses)

1 White onion

Olive Oil to taste

You need first to make a nice fish broth(bisque)

I puted some water with 2 and half glasse white wine in a pan and with the fire on,I let to cook

I add the fishes  peels ,and half white onion,some salt and peper

….if you have you can put inside  some black celery too

I removed the peels from the broad beans fresh

and in a saucepan with the water and the rest of the white onion,

  let  cook for about 15 minutes

finished let off some the broad beans, I put in a pan with a some olive oil and I started to do it lightly fry.

Now that fish’s broth is ready with a big spoon, add the fish’s broth into the pan with the broad beans

Continue to cook the broad beans with the addition of the fish broth always keep  light cooking,

Now that the beans start to become soft, add the shrimp and prawns

 always with the addition of the fish broth, continue to cook until everything is well blended flavor,

 there you have a new dish delicious and easy to prepare

  1. Thx to you i know that scampi is shrimp..
    since i though scampy is yabbies(had scampy dish before and the pasta is served with freshwater cryfish/yabbies)
    i had the broad bean plant in my mother’s bak yard, never cook them this way. tempting to try…

    • Thank you Dedy,very gelosy because you dont need to buy the Broad beans….you can make them in a lot different ways…dont Forbes are very health too

      Cosi …cerchi d’imparare,fino ad a raggiungere un livello piu ke soddisfacente,adesso ke sono sempre a casa,mi diletto sempre piu, ,grazie del complimento ma sono io l’autore dei piatti,e delle foto.:)

      • dai, non equivocare, mammone nel senso attaccato alla mamma! Olanda, terra dei fiori e dei tulipani…ne ho viste distese intere ammalianti spuntare fra i mulini quando sono passata per andare ad Haarlem a visitare il floricultore Bakker…
