Merluzzo al Forno

Finally spring, even if this year should not complain as regards the weather.
But I certainly know that spring has arrived, it’s always a certain effect,

so I decided to prepare the fish for this evening.
I chose to prepare the baked codfish with the style of “la cucina povera Italiana”

Merluzzo al Forno

white wine to taste
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
Extra virgin olive oil

Cut into small pieces tomatoes, onions, capers and parsley

cut in small piece

In a bowl, (smeared on both sides with oil) add the mixture of the capper tomatoes and parsley,

and finally add the cod fish,( as you can see on the picture)

and add a bit of white wine, salt and pepper.
Put in the oven at 180 degrees for about half an hour ..

Buon appetito!
Easy and Delicious

  1. A very spring-like recipe. The beautiful tomatoes make me think of summer, too, when we will have many at the farmer’s markets and in the garden. The wine, capers and fish are such a lovely combination. The angle of the last photo is beautiful. Great recipe and post, Massi.

  3. This is really an easy preparation, Massi, but the flavors are wonderful! Your photography, as always, presents the dish in the best light possible. Merluzzo is a fish that I couldn’t find for years. Only last year did I find it again. It is a regular visitor to my dinner table now. πŸ™‚
